Frequently asked questions
Can I be an unregistered NDIS provider?
Yes, for many supports, if your participants self-manage or plan-manage their funding. Some supports, and participants whose funding is NDIA-managed, need a registered provider. The quiz above checks every rule, and our registered vs unregistered providers guide lists them all.
Do unregistered providers have to follow any rules?
Yes. Registered and unregistered NDIS providers must both follow the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Why might my result say "depends"?
Because a rule applies only in some situations: for example, if you answered "not sure" about how your participants' funding is managed, or whether your supports meet the SIL or digital platform definition. Each of those rules in your result says what it depends on.
Does this quiz store my answers?
No. Your answers stay in your browser. If you copy a link to your result, the link holds only your answers to the questions, never your name or contact details.
